Clearing my head

My stress levels are through the roof at the moment. It’s not that there’s anything major going on in my life that’s unusually stressful, but that this pregnancy is really taking a toll on me. With the other three, I’d have days where I could be irritable, but this one… anything sets me off. I can feel the stress levels rise every time the kids bicker.

I guess lack of sleep isn’t helping. I’m at the stage now where it’s uncomfortable to lie down – on my back, baby kicks; on my side, seriously uncomfortable. Baby is more active at night so while I can sit down during the day (ha ha, like that’s possible for more than a couple of minutes) I can’t rest properly at night and so am up and down all night long. The girls generally wake up from 6.30 which is when I’m finally starting to settle, so I’m not getting time to just relax.

Today, just to finally top it off, Erin managed to get hold of a pair of scissors and has chopped a chunk out of her fringe (bangs for those of you in America or wherever).

Random Update

Posted by Azh

It’s been almost a week since I last posted on here – bad me – so I decided a weekly roundup might be in order (not that I’ve been doing amazing things or anything).

Took my pc into the local computer shop on Saturday last to get them to figure out what the problem was with it. I was hoping it was simply the power unit having broken, but no such luck. When they checked it out, it turned out that I needed to have the motherboard and the chip replaced. I originally had a P4 500 with HT technology in, but it’s now been replaced with an AMD Athalon 3500 – I’m not entirely sure I got a better deal or not there as I’m not a gamer and judging by reports I’ve read the AMD is great for gaming but not so great for cd burning, graphic design etc and that’s what I generally use my pc for. Anyway, I didn’t know they were going to put an AMD in until after I got it home, so I’ve paid out £163 and I’m not sure I’m happy about it.

It was Gary’s birthday on Saturday also – his 40th. I’d ordered him a new Digital Camera as a surprise and paid for express delivery, which meant it was supposed to arrive on the Wednesday before. But it didn’t show up until Tuesday 7th which pissed me off somewhat. But the quality on the camera is pretty fine and so all’s well that ends well.

The girls have spent a couple of days up at a friend’s house playing with her kids – they’ve been coming home absolutely shattered and all been asleep by 7pm most nights which has been total bliss and almost worth the angst that comes around dinner time when they’re tired and so argumentative.

It’s Shannon’s 5th birthday tomorrow, so we’re having a little birh “party” for her. Nothing major just party food for her, the other two girls and the boys and a birthday cake, of course.

And that’s basically been my week (not talking about all the bitching that’s gone on with the boys and usual crap that it contains).

Hopefully I’ll have something more interesting to post in a day or so.

YOU KNOW YOU ARE LIVING IN 2007 when…

1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.

2. You haven’t played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3.

4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.

5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don’t have e-mail addresses.

6. You pull up in your own drive and use your mobile phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.

7 Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen.

8. Leaving the house without your mobile phone, which you didn’t have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.

10. You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee.

11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. : )

12 You’re reading this and nodding and laughing.

13. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.

14. You are too busy to notice there was no number 9 on this list.

15. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn’t a number 9 on this list.

AND NOW YOU ARE LAUGHING at yourself.
